Integrating AI into complex workflows can be a daunting task. But at Launch, we've developed a methodology that not only simplifies the process but also delivers tangible results.
Our unique approach has resonated especially with big tech companies, helping them streamline their operations and enhance efficiency to stay at the top of their game.
Through our AI-driven tools, we've transformed how major organizations manage their internal operations to boost brand awareness, speed up sales processes, and more. And through our thoughtful approach to consulting, we continue to find opportunities to take advantage of AI and automation, enabling companies to maximize employee engagement, productivity, and output.
Here’s how we work our magic.
Our managed services approach has evolved over the years, but we’ve always remained focused on the customer and the ROI they actually care about.
Things like increasing efficiencies and savings, of course, but also:
We do that by hiring consultants with deep expertise, not only in AI and other technology but also in specific industries like big tech. These people have done the work before and understand the ins and outs of how enterprise companies operate, making them excellent at sniffing out potential use cases for AI.
Beyond hiring the most knowledgeable and experienced talent, Launch consultants:
Typically, the fiscal year kicks off with a program and process analysis to create an initial innovation and efficiency backlog — a process we call “blueprinting.”
This involves working closely with members of each department and mapping out the processes they complete on a daily basis. Running through these workflows step, by step, by step starts to reveal inefficiencies, redundancies, and duplicative work. Those choke points are often perfect candidates for automation or AI-powered workflows.
What’s particularly useful about blueprinting is that the new workflows that result from it can serve as the foundation for other transformation projects — or even completely carry over into other departments with just a few tweaks. By not reinventing the wheel, we can maximize the use of our clients’ time and resources.
Rather than jumping on potential AI projects right away, Launch teams add them to a larger innovation backlog, then:
Proactive measurement and reporting to drive innovation and efficiency impact
Working in an agile fashion ensures that (1) the most pressing projects get done on time and (2) the client has ample room for input and testing. While our teams work in the usual bi-weekly or monthly sprints, our work aligns directly with service QBRs. And since we’ve been tracking KPIs all along, our client partners have the data they need to present project success to their higher-ups.
Liz Thomas, Managing Director at Launch Consulting, notes, “Implementing a quarterly rhythm drives a culture of continuous improvement and accountability with tangible innovation and efficiency milestones and outcomes.”
A leading tech company's sales team collects competitive insights with significant organizational impact.
Before Launch's involvement, this information was manually reviewed and reported in OneNote, leading to time inefficiencies and human errors. An initial Excel-based solution had some success but eventually proved inadequate as the number of users and business process complexities increased.
Launch’s expert team used Power Apps to create automated workflows and a user interface that integrated with the client’s existing SharePoint-based data sources. This resulted in an easy-to-use solution enabled by Power Automate. Additionally, the Launch team developed AI-powered solutions to automatically route requests to the appropriate queue and draft responses for common queries.
Launch's ongoing partnership with the stakeholders:
Launch continues to innovate with the stakeholders on this project, brainstorming (and prioritizing) new ways AI can reduce back-end processing time.
As a leading hardware provider’s device gained momentum in adoption, their go-to-market teams needed a way to track which devices were going where and how much those seeded devices impacted the company’s bottom line.
The client approached Launch to build an application that monitored the device giveaway and loaning inventory tool. Nine years later, Launch’s managed service team continues to update and refine this tool, maintaining a healthy feature backlog through our agile Scrum framework.
The benefits Launch has brought to the tool have led to widespread adoption across multiple hardware and software divisions.
In 2022, similar tools for upcoming product launches and pre-launch samples were designed and delivered, and in late 2023, further improvements were made by integrating an AI chatbot using Retrieval Augmented Generation (more on that next).
Liz shares, “Throughout our partnership, our team has consistently performed at or above our contractual utilization — just one of the many reasons we’ve been the preferred partner for this client for nearly a decade.”
After their device seeding program tool went to production, that same leading tech company approached Launch to provide self-service support for the loan and giveaway program.
Through Launch’s signature consulting approach, the team landed on a solution: two separate chatbots powered by cutting-edge Semantic Kernel technology and Azure OpenAI. One would answer common questions about the device loaning process and the other would field questions about company policies.
These always-on chatbots had two main benefits:
In just six weeks, 7,000 employees had used these two chatbots, reporting a noticeable improvement in accessing support and policy information, appreciating the speed and efficiency of the new system.
This project showcased Launch’s rapid and efficient intake, prioritization, and implementation process, setting a new benchmark for scalable, high-quality AI solutions.
Launch's reputation for harnessing technology and AI solutions has positioned us as the ideal partner for our client’s needs — in big tech and elsewhere.
