Before Launch's involvement, this information was manually reviewed and reported in OneNote, leading to time inefficiencies and human errors. An initial Excel-based solution had some success but eventually proved inadequate as the number of users and business process complexities increased.

Implementing Automated Solutions

Launch’s expert team used Power Apps to create automated workflows and a user interface that integrated with the client’s existing SharePoint-based data sources. This resulted in an easy-to-use solution enabled by Power Automate. Additionally, the Launch team developed AI-powered solutions to automatically route requests to the appropriate queue and draft responses for common queries.

Optimizing a Leading Global Hardware Provider’s Device Seeding Program

As a leading hardware provider’s device gained momentum in adoption, their go-to-market teams needed a way to track which devices were going where and how much those seeded devices impacted the company’s bottom line.

Building, Maintaining, and Improving Tracking Technology Over Time

The client approached Launch to build an application that monitored the device giveaway and loaning inventory tool. Nine years later, Launch’s managed service team continues to update and refine this tool, maintaining a healthy feature backlog through our agile Scrum framework.

The benefits Launch has brought to the tool have led to widespread adoption across multiple hardware and software divisions.

In 2022, similar tools for upcoming product launches and pre-launch samples were designed and delivered, and in late 2023, further improvements were made by integrating an AI chatbot using Retrieval Augmented Generation (more on that next).

Through Launch’s signature consulting approach, the team landed on a solution: two separate chatbots powered by cutting-edge Semantic Kernel technology and Azure OpenAI. One would answer common questions about the device loaning process and the other would field questions about company policies.

These always-on chatbots had two main benefits:

  1. They got employees answers to their questions faster, enabling them to launch more marketing promotions in a shorter span of time.
  1. They reduced the load on internal customer support, allowing them to direct their time and energy to more strategic tasks.

In just six weeks, 7,000 employees had used these two chatbots, reporting a noticeable improvement in accessing support and policy information, appreciating the speed and efficiency of the new system.

This project showcased Launch’s rapid and efficient intake, prioritization, and implementation process, setting a new benchmark for scalable, high-quality AI solutions.
