A litigation support-services firm faced significant challenges with outdated reporting processes and limited analytics capabilities. Relying heavily on manual Excel processes, which were time-consuming, error-prone, and not scalable and lacked a centralized and optimized data model. Aiming to provide automated and optimized reporting and analytics for their executives and broader business operations, our client sought to transition from manual processes to an automated, centralized cloud platform to streamline workflows and improve accessibility to insights.

To address these challenges, Launch Consulting delivered a comprehensive solution leveraging three key technologies:
Data Warehousing with Snowflake
We consolidated data from various sources to create a centralized data warehouse. Snowflake's scalable architecture was leveraged to ensure optimal performance and efficient handling of large datasets.
Data Modeling and Transformation with dbt
Our team developed an enterprise data model using dbt, incorporating best practices for data structure, organization, and automated data transformations. This ensured that data was clean, accurate, and ready for analysis.
Furthermore, we created custom-tailored and optimized semantic layer views based on the enterprise data model, providing performance optimized data with minimal transformations required within Sigma. The end-to-end processes including the data ingestion from various source systems have been orchestrated using Managed Airflow hosted in Amazon Web Services (MWAA)
Dashboard Development with Sigma
We designed actionable and interactive dashboards with a visually driven approach, moving away from static tables to a more engaging and informative user experience. A best practice platform was designed to include Teams (User Groups), Workspaces, Folders, permissions, and licensing that balanced cost, security, scalability, and user experience.
